Sandy Cohen, a staff writer for The Daily Breeze, interviewed Karen Allen at her store in Torrance, California recently for the Life & Arts section to help promote a wonderful program called "Birdtique".
In this program, Karen Allen, amongst many others, helped to introduce bird owners and animal lovers alike to the South Bay Bird Society.
The president of the South Bay Bird Society, Janet Ragonesi, wanted to provide a community outreach program that would invite the public to the South Bay Bird Society. The Society provides valuable information to bird owners through lectures and informal chat sessions and also aids in the rescue and adoption of many birds. The South Bay Bird Society meets monthly at the Torrance Cultural Arts Center. Here are several of the wonderful photos that went along with the Daily Breeze story in the Life & Arts section.
